The WAITing Treasure...

How many of us like to WAIT?  (My hand is not raised) I don’t like to WAIT 45-1 hour at a restaurant to be seated for dinner or WAIT at the doctor’s office 30 mins-1 hour even though you have an appointment or WAIT to hear back from an employer you just interviewed with or WAIT for the finances to pay your bills, or how about WAIT for a dream or desire to come to pass …WAIT, WAIT, WAIT.

I don’t know about you but when I hear WAIT, I usually cringe. The WAITing Treasure.  (HMMMM) To WAIT, does not seem like a TREASURE does it?  I agree but today I want to encourage you to allow a shifting in your waiting perspective, and this is for me also.  How can WAITing be a treasure, you ask? Let’s look at a couple of scriptures.

Psalm 38:15, "But for you, O LORD, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who will answer." (ESV)
Here we see that, we are waiting for the LORD. It is you, O Lord my God, whom we WAIT for. So we are not waiting for the answer, we are waiting for God, who will answer. If we shift our waiting perspective not on what but WHOM we are waiting for, there we will see The Waiting Treasure.  Our Lord is our Treasure, our Waiting Treasure.
Isaiah 40:31, “Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.” (NASB)

This scripture in Isaiah, tells us what we can find in The WAITing Treasure. I like the way the Amplified Bible Version says it,

Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (AMP)

So will you Desire To Inspire a shifting in your waiting perspective today?  Once we make this shift, others around us will be inspired as well.
