I Confess

Yippee, it's confessing time. Have I told you that I love this bi-weekly link up with Agape Love Designs and Let It Shine.  Of course I have because this has to be my favorite post to write and my favorite link up.

I CONFESS...

I love writing these posts because I can just type random confession after confession and they usually just flow.

I am super excited that this is my 100th post!! It's been a struggle for me to keep up with my blog but I continue to push through. Thank you for joining me on this journey.

I begin to type this while me and Mr. Aguila were watching Wolverine.

I am not much of a movie watcher because I have a short attention span.  I usually lose interest easily and can't focus so I figured this is a great time to type up my blog.

I got stuck on the movie and starting typing this after the movie was done.  It is a good movie, have you seen it?

The movies that I seriously love and have to see at the theater are Fast and Furious movies. To be honest, I was really sad to hear about Paul Walker.  I am not sure how I feel about watching the movie next year.

I am not really big on following celebrities and stuff. I found out Paul Walkers name once he died.

I am finally getting into Christmas mode but we haven't gotten a Christmas tree.

Last week was my nephews birthday and my sister in love's birthday (my baby (nephews') momma. I was on birthday mode for them but celebrations were successful and now over so Christmas let's do this.

I love everything about this time of the year but most of all,  Jesus is the reason for the season.  While I love the gifts, family time and the food, I try not to get consumed and forget the real meaning of Christmas.

Mr. Aguila and I finally did some Christmas shopping tonight after our dinner date.  We hit Victoria's Secret and Ross and while I was shopping for myself, we did manage to get some gifts out of the way.

I am really obsessing over leggings right now and I found some solid colored ones at Ross for really cheap. I follow this shop on instagram, Kika La'Rue and I seen and reposted these leggings/tights that I fell in love with for my Christmas outfit but they are sold out.

After I posted them I was able to get them locally from my awesome friend Isela's Accessories & More and now I am hoping that she can get me these I seen on @ curlycraftymom who shared she got them at Lundy Jane's boutique. I checked and they aren't available, sad face!!
Aren't these cute??
As you know, I love to shop and even though I am always shopping for myself, I also enjoy shopping for others.

I joined some awesome bloggers for #ZabrinaSecretSanta and also doing Cara Box.  Have you heard of these?  Are you participating in any of these? Click the links to meet the awesome bloggers that organize these swaps.

Speaking of swaps, Maria-Isabel of Agape Love Designs and I did a swap, just because a couple months ago, (you can view our box reveals on KEEK, @ mrsaguila09 and @ agapelovegirl ) My confession on this is that it was my first swap ever and I totally sucked at it!!! I felt so bad that I had to send her out a second box a couple weeks ago.  I did send her everything on her wish list and just a couple extras BUT in comparison to what I received from her, my box was skimpy BUT I am pretty sure the second box made up for it.

I now feel I am prepared for my next swap. I have more insight on this, thanks Maria-Isabel.  Have you done a beauty swap?

There is still time to enter this sweet cash giveaway,  $500 CASH GIVEAWAY.
http://faithhopeandtreasures.blogspot.com/2013/12/500-cash-giveaway.html
I want to do a Captain Hook, make up Monday look but I am still not sure what I will use.  I have so many eye shadow pallets that I am sure I can come up with something.

My weekend was very chill, thank God! Mr. Aguila doesn't have class on Saturdays right now. This photo sums up Life as Mrs. Aguila on a Saturday morning.  My hubby (he still draws for me), my coffee and marshmallows.  Be Happy and Always Forgive Treasures.

It is now Sunday afternoon and I am barely finishing up this post while watching the Dallas Cowboys game, so yeah just a bit distracted.

Hope you had an awesome weekend. God bless you treasures. May this week be stress free and full of faith, hope and treasures as well love, peace and joy.

I Confess Once Again

Hi there Treasures, I am finally sitting down in front of my computer which is actually a Surface so technically it's a tablet.

Anyway, I am going to do some confessing and link up with Agape Love Designs and Let it Shine. As I say every other week, I love doing these posts and love reading others as well. If you have some confessing to do, join the link up or leave me some confession comments.

Mrs. Aguila confesses...

I am so tired and really want to be asleep but I have really sucked at blogging these days so I wanted to get this in before I turn in for the night.

I like loathe washing dishes. I just washed a sink full of dishes before sitting down to blog because even though I hate washing dishes I hate having dishes sitting in the sink. Ah, wifey problems.

I am one of those that say I will start my "diet" and working out on Monday and then when I don't, I wait until the next Monday to say that all over again. I still have not got back on that fitness wagon, but I really want to. I am aiming to start my Monday off with Shakeology for breakfast.

I am seriously needing to get this adorable mug from the Starbucks Store.

I haven't been doing so well on my no spend November especially since finding out about this marriage workshop.

I ordered some items from some great online shops. Here's the details on what I picked up.

Since I love me some coffee, when I seen these Thanks a Latte cards by Eva Marie Taylor on her Instagram, I just knew I had to order them.  You can order them from her shop here. Make sure to check out the other items in her shop.
LIKE ON FACEBOOK FOR UPDATES ON THE SHOP
I also finally ordered my hair pretties from Mila Rose Designs. I wish I could order one of each item from this shop however I confess, I am clueless as to how to wear them. So until I learn, the ones I already own will sit pretty (with all the other stuff I buy and stash away) and I will hold off on ordering more. If you have any tips, let me know.
LIKE ON FACEBOOK FOR UPDATES ON THE SHOP
And last but not least I ordered some jewelry from Litva's Jewelry.  I love her Instagram account, be sure to follow her and stop by her shop. I love my bracelet and this ring is beautiful.
LIKE ON FACEBOOK FOR UPDATES ON THE SHOP
Since I started blogging, I have met some really talented ladies.  These are all handmade shops.  You can follow these ladies' blogs here
Eva Marie Taylor /// Mila Rose Designs ///  Litva's Jewelry

I am not getting paid to promote this lovely ladies and their shops. I just like to share the love. These ladies are a pleasure to deal with and I know I will order from them again.

I had no intentions of making this post a commercial but I am glad I did.

By now I am super sleepy and I need sleep.
I will posting about my lippie collection for Make Up Monday tomorrow.

I CONFESS AGAIN

Hello God’s lovely treasures. So it’s Saturday which means it’s time for Friday’s confessions.  Confession Time Linky Party with Maria-Isabel of Agape Love Design and also Michelle of Let It Shine.  Be sure to visit them and read what they are confessing.

I confess that I like joining linky parties and blog hops.  This one here is one of my favorites.  It is a time to just let some stuff off your mind.  Join us by writing up your own confessions.

I confess that this week I was sick with fever, chills, nausea, headache and vomiting and I think because of the pressure from vomiting I bruised my head somehow.  Has that ever happen to you? My head was hurting for like 3 days straight. I had to miss w0rk as well. No fun at all.

I confess, I enjoy watching UFC with Mr. Aguila.  I don’t like seeing all the blood but there’s some good fights that are better than boxing plus we wait until they are showing for free on Xbox Live.

I confess, I am so happy my grand daddy is back from his 3 week vacation to Zacatecas, Mexico.  At 89 years old, he still travels which is good BUT we like him home instead.

I confess, on Monday I am back on Shakeology and working out. Hold me accountable. I really need it.  The holidays are coming up and I don’t want to gain all my weight back so I have to get back at it.

I confess, I have some bushy eyebrows (with some white ones growing in also).  I get my eyebrows threaded not waxed.  I have been going to the same girl for over 5 years. She is not near my house so sometimes I cheat on her but this time I didn’t want to cheat but had no time to drive to her so I waited like three weeks and this is the result and it is NOT cute at all.

I confess when I have my eyebrows done, I want to do my make up more.  I have been doing my make up but haven’t taken any pictures to share with you and I am a little bummed ab0ut that.  I secretly wonder how some of you amazing bloggers share pictures of yourself everyday or almost everyday.

I confess, I got wrecked at church yesterday. Worship was so good and pretty much sobbed the entire service. His reminder of His great love for me just really messes me up (In A Good Way).  Just thinking how the creator of this universe loves me and calls me His daughter.  What a blessing, what a privilege.  It is something I don’t deserve but in His grace, He gives it to me. He shows it to me. He tells me of His love for me and in that moment I just can’t stay the same.

I confess, that I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams. I have so much to be thankful for and God’s love gives me perspective.  I must seek Him and His kingdom FIRST, THEN everything else will be added unto me.  I can’t think once I get this or once I get that THEN I will know He loves me. God has loved me since before I was in my mother’s womb and He already knew me as well. My part is to accept His love and place no conditions or restrictions on His amazing love.

So here are my confessions. Thanks for stopping by today. May God's love chase you down today.

More October Confessions

Happy Friday sweet Treasures!! It is  Confessional Friday with  Agape Love Designs and Let it ShineBlog.  I just love this linky party, don’t you?  I always have so much to confess, after all this linky party is every other week.

This is my free time to get it all out and then read what others are confessing.

I CONFESS…

I totally drew a blank once I started to type.

I love, love the weekend.

I am really loving Fall weather in California, especially at night.

I haven’t been going to my regular church for a couple of weeks now and I miss it.

I have church tonight and all of a sudden I feel so sleepy that I want to go home and take a nap but I won’t.

Since I have a couple hours before church starts, I am going to do some shopping instead of going home to nap.

I have been shopping like crazy, mostly online.

I have only ordered 1 out of the 3 things I posted about here on my last October Confessions.

I ordered this set from A Little Piece of Me Shop.

Salena is the sweet designer behind this shop and you can check out her blog and stalk her on social media like I do. She really has the cutest stuff.

I want mostly everything she posts on Instagram.

I had an amazing birthday this year. I just felt really blessed.

I redid my hair and yes I confess, I love red hair and I love saying Red hair, Don’t Care.

I still have not made it back onto the fitness wagon that I fall off thanks to my birthday month.

I actually gained a couple pounds back this month and I feel so sad about that.

I always say I will start on Monday so hopefully this Monday will be the day I get it together.

I have gray (or white)hairs growing out on my eyebrows and it is not cute at all!!!

I plan on going on a spending fast starting November 1st. My hubby will be really happy to hear that BUT I don't know how I feel about this. Even just thinking about it makes me nervous.

I need to make more time for prayer and reading (and social media should count BUT it doesn't).  God is so good to call us out and hold us accountable to what He has called us to do. We got prayer for this exact thing at service. So thankful for my pastors and my church for being in tune with the Holy Spirit and leading the way.

I was suppose to post this last night and then this morning and just finishing it up right now.

I need to get some sleep because  I have to be at church early tomorrow.

I kinda poured out my heart out on this post and feel a little vulnerable yet through the typing and tears, it also brought me some freedom.

The birthday celebrations still continue with these giveaways but ending soon.
$750 PAYPAL CASH (ends 10/27) // $225 PAYPAL CASH (ends 10/31)

I hope you enjoy this last weekend in October.

PEACE AND BLESSINGS,

Follow Me Bible Study {Week 2} Be Transformed

Hello Treasures and welcome to Week 2 of the Follow Me Bible Study series with Satisfaction Through Christ.

This week’s Focus
Be transformed.

This week’s Scripture Memory
John 15:5 – Vine and Branches Wallpaper
John 15:5 – Vine and Branches Wallpaper

This week in a daily break down
I will share what stood out to me the most from each day (There is a lot of good points throughout the days, from what I have read but I will only share one.  I hope that you will join us on this bible study and share with us what stood out to you, ask questions and/or leave comments.

Day One – United with Christ
What a blessing to be united with Christ, united with a purpose.  We get to unite with Christ and continue the work of God the Father, the work to further the kingdom of God.  United to share and fill earth with God’s love; with joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

~~ “If you’re a Christian, Jesus Christ lives in you and is with you. Moreover, you live in Jesus and are with Him.  That’s what He meant in John 15:4 when He told His disciples to “remain in me, and I will remain in you.”  BY DAVID PLATT, page 42

==TO BE A CHRISTIAN IS TO EXPERIENCE UNITY WITH CHRIST==

Day Two – Jesus  Changes  Everything
Oh boy, Oh boy, does Jesus change everything.  When we truly unite with Christ, we will be changed and transformed.

~~ “First, when we’re united with Christ, He begins to transform our thoughts.  He changes the way we perceive and process information so that, over time, we’re able to think more and more like Him.  Paul wrote about this transformation in 1 Corinthians 2:”

1 Corinthians 2:12-14 (VOICE)
12 You must know that we have not received the spirit of this rebellious and broken world but the Spirit that comes from God, so that we may experience and comprehend the gifts that come from God. 13 We do not speak of these gifts of God in words shaped by human wisdom; we speak in words crafted by the Spirit because our collective judgment on spiritual matters is accessible to those who have the Spirit. 14 But a person who denies spiritual realities will not accept the things that come through the Spirit of God; they all sound like foolishness to him. He is incapable of grasping them because they are disseminated, discerned, and valued by the Spirit.

Question
Read 1 Corinthians 2:16 (AMP)
16 For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.

What does it mean when it says “we have the mind of Christ”?

I like the Amplified Version of this scripture.  It says we do hold the thoughts, feelings and purposes of Christ heart! This truth is enough to change us. If we really mediate on this, we will forever be changed. Think about it, we have the mind of Christ and hold thoughts and feelings and purposed of HIS heart! That is life changing. Join me on this life changing study.

David Platt goes onto say that Paul also wrote about the benefits of this transformation.  I love these cartoons from Joyful 'toons and I think this one depicts this well.

==THIS IS AN IMPORTANT BENEFIT OF CHOOSING TO FOLLOW HIM==

Day Three – From Internal to External
There are several sections for each day in the book.

On Day three, my favorite section was JESUS TRANSFORMS OUR RELATIONSHIPS. (This is big for me)

Here is what David Platt has to say,
~~ “As our transformation continues to progress from internal to external,  Jesus impacts more than our individual actions. He also transforms our relationships with others.  Specifically, He gives us the ability to love others as He loves them: (See John 15:12-15)

In this same section He goes on to say,
~~ “As we abide in Christ and Christ abides in us, He transforms our ability to love and relate with others. He enables us to love our neighbors as ourselves (See Matt. 22:39).  As a result, Christians should be distinguishable from the rest of the world because our relationships with one another and with those who still need Christ:
Question
In what ways do you express sacrificial love for those who still need Christ?

==YOUR WILL, YOUR RELATIONSHIPS, EVEN YOUR ENTIRE PURPOSE FOR LIVING IS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN AS YOU ABIDE IN JESUS AND AS HE ABIDES IN YOU==

Day Four – Abide in God’s Word
This was full of some wisdom for me. There were a few questions discussed on this day.
David Platt talks about believing the scriptures and believing through the consequences.

~~ "So part of what it means to remain in Jesus is to spend regular time reading the bible, which is His Word.  But we know from James that even the demons have an intellectual awareness of what God has revealed in His Word--and shudder (see Jas. 2:19),
Therefore, Jesus makes it clear that obedience is also part of the equation:
John 15:9-10
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.  Now remain in my love.  If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. (emphasis added), David Platt (page 53)

Questions
What part do we play when it comes to remaining in Christ?  What choices do we need to make in order to remain in Him? What actions do we need to take?

==BEAR THE FRUIT OF THIS WORD IN THE WORLD, EVEN IF THAT MEANS LOSING EVERYTHING ELSE==

Day Five – Personal Disciple-Making Plan:  Fill Your Mind with Truth
This one had me in tears for personal reasons but good stuff. Great questions to think about and advice on how to plan for filling our minds with truth.

~~ "As you consider a plan for reading, memorizing, and learning God's Word, don't forget that we do these things as disciples not for information's sake but for transformation's sake.  Once again, the words of James are helpful:  "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.  Do what it says" (Jas. 1:22)

As believers in Jesus, we're followers of Jesus , which means that we not only hear the truth of Christ;  we apply the truth of Christ.  Our goal as disciples is never just to believe God's Word;  our goal is to obey God's Word."  David Platt, (page 61)

Question
Are you satisfied or unsatisfied with your current plan for reading God's Word? Why?

No, No, No!!! I am not satisfied with my current reading plan for God's Word. I crave God's Word but it is hard for me to stick to a reading plan for some reason, so I usually just read random scriptures.  After reading this, I am following a reading plan and sticking to it and intentionally filling up my mind with God's Word, God's truth.

==THEREFORE, AS YOU PLAN TO FILL YOUR MIND WITH TRUTH, ALSO PURPOSE TO FOLLOW THE ONE WHO IS TRUTH ==

Thank you for reading. I pray you were blessed.  This book has my attention. Please make sure  to stop by Satisfaction Through Christ’s to read  Christie's discussion on the this week’s reading and also check back with us every Wednesday for the next 4 weeks for the rest of this study.

God bless you and if you have any prayer requests please leave me a comment or send me an email and we will lift up your needs in Jesus name.

October Confessions

Hi lovely Treasures, so it is time for some "CONFESSIONS".  I confess I love doing these confession posts and then linking up with Maria-Isabel of Agape Love Designs  who hosts this with Michelle of Let it Shine. Have you done a confession post? If so link it up.

I CONFESS...
I have a lot of confessions I would like to share

I love, love, love this time of the year. (You probably already know that)

I love to watch sports especially football, especially Dallas Cowboys, especially when they are winning (like right now against the Redskins)

Since it is my birthday month, now my birthday week, I am just looking for stuff to buy

I have a long wish list (that Mr. Aguila is well aware of)

I have been eyeing a couple of things from these awesome online shops I discovered

I did take advantage of the My Beauty Addiction promotion this weekend and placed an order.
I have more make up and beauty products and jewelry, shoes and purses than I know what to do with but I still "NEED" more.
I did my first beauty swap this month and it was so much fun to put together and just so excited to do this.
I got my package last week and had so much fun opening up everything.
You can see all my goodies on KEEK and I will try to put blog post together as well.
I love Maria-Isabel. She is such a blessing to me. She has a heart of gold!
I am doing my first on line bible study or should I say blog bible study, Read about it HERE.

I am a part of a couple great giveaways. It's my way of celebrating my birthday month with you.
You can enter here for a Pier 1 $50 gift card and here for a piece of $750 Fall Cash Giveaway
I am super excited to get my hair done this week.
I haven't been doing to well on my fitness journey.
This week my fitness Coach and our group will begin to read "Made to Crave" by Lysa TerKeurst and I am praying that I can get back on track and continue this journey.
I had an awesome weekend of ministry at my church. We had a guest speaker, Jane Hamon and that lady is so anointed. She speaks fire and imparts fire and just so fierce. She knows her God given authority and is so down to earth.
I had started to read her book The Deborah Company but never finished it but after this weekend I brought it out and will continue to read it.
I want to be a woman who makes a difference.
I experienced a shift this weekend and  I am ready to take my place in God's kingdom.
I am excited for this week and for my birthday celebrations to continue.

These are my October Confessions. I would love to hear yours. You can link them up HERE.

Follow Me Bible Study {Week 1} The Call

 photo Bible-Study-Button_zpsd20943ba.jpg
Hello Treasures, so the Fall Bible Study using FOLLOW ME Bible Study by David Platt has begun with Christie at Satisfaction Through Christ.
So initially I had purchased the book not the bible study.
I begin to read it and I really liked it. Then I found out it wasn't the correct one and I heard about all the ways the devil tried to stop this and we pushed back the enemy and decided to go forward with the study and so I ordered the bible study version from Lifeway Book Store here in California.

The book is a 6 week bible study and each week has 5 days of reading.   I just got mine on Monday so its crunch time for me.  For the 6 weeks, Christie of Satisfaction through Christ , myself and others will blog about that weeks topics and we can comment, link up our posts and just discuss what God spoke to us.  I am late this week but still wanted to put something together.  I have never done this type of bible study so I am really excited to get into this with the group and we'd love for you to join us.

WEEK 1:  THE CALL

This week's scripture Memory
MATTHEW 4:19-20
“Come follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fisher’s of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.

This week’s Focus
Was on that moment when Jesus first called His disciples, along with several more of their experiences and encounters during His public ministry.  Ultimately, we’ll find answers to this important question:  What does it mean to truly follow Jesus?

This week in a daily break down
I will share what stood out to me the most from each day (There is a lot of good points throughout the days, from what I have read but I will only share one.  I will share one paragraph and one question from the section plus share my answer and hope that you will join us on this bible study and share with us what stood out to you or ask questions or leave comments.

Day One - The Cost
Again there is a lot of good stuff in this section but this is something that really struck me.

David Platt shares Matthew 4:18-22 (NIV) {Note the subtitle for this section}

Jesus Calls His First Disciples
18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers; Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.

21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

Question
What strikes you as most interesting in these verses? Why?

What struck me the most on this was that when Jesus told Simon Peter and Andrew, Come, follow me, scriptures tell us that AT ONCE they left and followed him.  They had that blind faith and followed Jesus and they didn’t waver or contemplate or get prayer or ask for advice but AT ONCE they stopped what they were doing (their work, their lives, their agendas) and followed Him.

In verse 21, the same thing happens but with 2 other disciples, James and John, Jesus called them and scripture tells us that IMMEDIATELY they left and followed him.

I know for me there were many times that Jesus was calling me and I didn’t stop, drop and follow.

Day Two - Don't Invite Jesus into Your Heart
This day had my mouth dropping as I read.  David Platt uses a great analogy using his story of adopting Caleb Platt and the gospel.

He says, “Caleb didn’t pursue us, for he was utterly unable to do so.  Instead, we pursued him.
This is the heart of Christianity, and we're prone to miss it if we describe becoming a Christian as "inviting Jesus into your heart". We don't become followers of Christ by pursuing Christ or inviting Christ to do anything, for in our sin we're totally unable to do so. Instead, we become Christians when Christ pursues us and invites us to follow Him."

Question
What’s your reaction to the previous paragraph? Why?

My reaction as I read was my mouth dropping wide open.  Reading through this day just really revealed so much to me about Jesus and His amazing love and how it wasn’t a prayer that was said or “inviting Jesus into my heart” but His love and His pursuit that has me on this journey of, FOLLOWING HIM.

Day Three - Understanding Salvation
This day was really deep for me.  There were two very profound sections for this day but I will share this one.

AWAY FROM ME
Here is part of this section…

“…Shouldn’t we who follow Christ be concerned that the Scriptures contain no references to people asking Jesus into their hearts or reciting a prayer of salvation?

Yes this is exactly what multitudes of professing Christians have been encouraged to do. Worse, they’ve been assured that as long as they asked Jesus into their heart, invited Him into their life, prayed a prayer, raised their hand, signed a card, or walked an aisle, they’re Christians, and their salvation is eternally secure.”

Question
What’s your reaction to the previous statements? Why?

My reaction is that of surprised. I guess I really never thought about whether or not it was even biblical to do the “sinner’s prayer”.  It’s just what I have been taught all along. Each time the question was asked, “How many people have you lead through the sinner’s prayers?” I always shrunk back as I have never done it.  As time went on, I quickly realized it wasn’t as easy as saying a prayer. It took a lot more than that for my walk with Jesus.

There is some other good things to ponder in this chapter but this post is already so long. (God bless you for sticking through this far)

Day Four - A New Creation
Another great section about Jesus making us a new creation and about superficial religion versus supernatural regeneration (read Ezekiel 36:25-27)

“Spiritual regeneration is the heart of Jesus’ call to follow Him.  When you become a Christian, you die, and Jesus becomes your life.  To paraphrase Paul, “You have died with Christ, and you’re not even alive anymore.  Instead, Christ is alive in you, and the only way you live is by faith in Him” (Gal. 2:20, author’s paraphrase).  In other words, Jesus died for you so that He could live in you.”

Question
Have you experienced supernatural regeneration? How can you tell?

I would say that I have experienced supernatural regeneration according to this that David Platt explains, “What Ezekiel wrote about (read Ezekiel 36:25-27) is exactly what Jesus came to do.  He came to cleanse us of our sin through His sacrifice on the cross; to wash us with “clean water” (v. 25).  And in doing so, He gives us something infinitely more valuable:  a new heart.  We’re born again! He gives us His Spirit to live in us and change us from the inside out.  This is what it means to experience supernatural regeneration.

Day Five - Make Disciples
So David Platt, closes up the week with this:

“Throughout the week we’ve explored what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.  We’ve looked at several pieces of evidence we can use to confirm whether we’re truly following Jesus rather than going through the motions of cultural Christianity.”  He gives a recap of the week and then goes in to today.  He says, “Today I want to explore the final proof of what it means to live as a genuine follower of Jesus:  the reality that true disciples of Christ are supernaturally compelled to make more disciples of Christ.

He talks about being Fishers of Men and Moving Forward.

Question
Will you follow?

Yes I will follow. Yes I want to taste this pleasure as David Platt puts it.

“Follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘ and I will make you fishers of men’ “ (Matt. 4:19).  This isn’t a gently solicitation to tread a path of superficial religion.  It’s a call to taste a pleasure that can be found only in a supernatural relationship with Christ. ~~David Platt
